Android 12 Release Schedule for Zenfone 8, Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone Series

ASUS today announced that the latest Android 12 upgrade will be available for the ZenFone 8 series commencing in December, 2021. This will be followed by upgrades for the ROG Phone 5 and 5s series in the first quarter of 2022. The upgrades for the Zenfone 7 series and ROG Phone 3 series are expected during the first half of 2022.

This update inherits the major functional changes introduced in the official version of Android 12, as well as continuing the popular ASUS battery- and performance-management features. For Zenfone models, it also includes ZenUI-specific changes that allow easier navigation, streamlined control panels, increased visibility for better control and more customization options. 

ASUS has already recruited Zenfone 8 users for the Android 12 beta testing program. The beta program will help identify and fix bugs based on real user experiences before the final software is rolled out in December.

I thought I did everything to disable the auto update to Android 12 but I now see a notification that it installed the update and is ready to restart. I want to do whatever I can to stop this. I do not want Android 12. What can I do?

Update to Android 12. You can downgrade lattter if you dont like it via Asus support site.

Not so fast - he will loose all his data after downgrading to A11 and he can't do the backup now, as the system files are already upgraded to A12. It probably means: he's in some deep, dark ass :]

Does 90 HZ display mode use less battery then auto refresh rate mode?Do you know that and how sure are you?

Maybe i am wrong......but i think auto refresh working with 60/90/120HZ depend about situation and 120HZ will drain battery to much. So thatsway i decided for same HZ everytime.

Ok. Ill try 90 fix and see if there will be any diference in battery comsumption.

Yes,i did that and you set the phone again. It takes 10 minutes. I use Google Photos app for pictures so i never loose them no matterw how much phones i change.
