Help please.
One day about 2 weeks ago I was unable to pay using wallet, at that point I realised my phone is no longer playstore certified. Running latest Android 13. Haven't had an update for quite some time. Not rooted, and tried already emptying cash and storage of Google play and wallet.
Anyone with a solution?

I have the exact same problem with this model as well. I’ve already done a factory reset and even tried re-registering it, but nothing changed.
I contacted Asus support via chat — the agent first suggested taking it to a service center, but when I pointed out that the issue is clearly software-related, they said they would escalate my ticket and that a supervisor would get back to me within one business day.
That was two weeks ago. It seems Asus is no longer particularly interested in supporting this model...

FYI: after few PM's with Asus support > I got below update:
Regarding the issue you are experiencing with your Zenfone 8 Flip displaying "Device not certified by Google Play," we will release a new version to fix the problem in end of January, 2026. We appreciate your patience. You can also bring your device to an ASUS service center for free inspection and repair.

While it is nice of them to release an update. Having to wait until the end of January is not acceptable.
I decided last week to buy a new phone from another company.
Also, the 2 year update guarantee on new Zenfones is not worth it. My new phone has 7 years of guaranteed updates.
My adventure with ASUS and Zenfone stops here. Sadly. I did like the phone.
