Help please.
One day about 2 weeks ago I was unable to pay using wallet, at that point I realised my phone is no longer playstore certified. Running latest Android 13. Haven't had an update for quite some time. Not rooted, and tried already emptying cash and storage of Google play and wallet.
Anyone with a solution?

Today the long-awaited update finally arrived and it fixed the issue mentioned above.
Version: WW_33.0210.0210.337
The Android security patch level is still November 1, 2023, but payment apps are working again — and ChatGPT too.
Big thanks to ASUS for the effort, this was some really solid support! 😊

Exactly the same issue here since Sep 20 25. (Zenphone 8 flip, purchased April 2022 firmware updated March 2025 to Android 13, with cryptic message regarding rooting and non play storee software. I did have one security camera apk installed so removed rebooted and same message. reset to factory, but same. ls this bcause Asus no longer doing Zenphones in Oz and Google Play store is strongly regionalised? Still getting ads but no notification. Support no longer listed in Oz site for phones. Pity, quite liked the phone but cannot travel without using NFC so I can use a virtual credit card.

Same here — I can’t use any payment apps, not even eBay. The ChatGPT app doesn’t work either.
I contacted ASUS through their chat support, and they told me to bring my phone to a service center… 🤦:male_sign:
I explained that it’s not a hardware issue, so they might get back to me within two business days.
Also, guys: do NOT do a factory reset. I already tried that — it doesn’t fix anything. This seems to be a certification or licensing problem between Google and ASUS.

Im seeing more forum posts and all related to the 331 rom. Like a global pandemic. The latest version available on asus site is 296. So my solution is to bench the phone... and take to some shop to downgrade to the last official one. it's unsellable with this issue so really disappointed. Used to like Asus products, but this pushes me away to say no more. No support, no trust. What a shame.
