Zenfone 6 ran out of battery, then trying to bootup and die, repeating this cycle endlessly.

Plug in the charger, it shows 0% battery, but then keeps repeating this. I have tried with two different Asus Chargers and a battery pack.
Do not know exactly what version of firmware it is. I set the automatic update on, so I would expect it to be the latest version.
It has been repeating this sequence for more than 12 hours now.

Is there a way to force shutdown and no reboot attempt? I'm trying to see if I can charge the phone at shutdown.

You may hold the power and volume down but it sounds like your usb port is damaged. Please contact ASUS support
