How to enable AAC bluetooth audio codec?

Hello, just bought bluetooth headphones with AAC support (Sony SBH56), but cant enable AAC codec after pair devices. Only SBC choosable in bt-device options.
Even after manual setting codec to AAC in developer menu it is anyway set back to SBC.
Any advices on how to set AAC? Thanks!

I do not know these headphones but someone else has had the same issue with SBH56 and other phones

To be honest, even if you could enable AAC I'm pretty sure you wouldn't notice the difference. Only with ultra high end headphones and very high res audio files. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Now I have aptX headphones and it works well, so no need in strange AAC anymore 🙂
