I am using this device over a year and I really liked it. I hadn't got any issues till date but after .171 update many times fast charging doesn't works properly.
Before, whenever I used to plug in fast charging was starting after few seconds but after update many times fast charging doesn't works so I need to plug in as well plug out to get fast charging work.
Please help me to solve issue.
(Battery care setting is off)
Also,(problem shows up at normal temperature as well at lower temperatures also i.e.>30)

It's cable problem I also got the same problem last month but after changing cable it's charging fast

I have the same problem for last 1 month. After changing cable, Fast charging is working fine for last 4-5 days. I have to observe more days to confirm

It's not cable problem its charging problem I'm and many other here using original cable and charger and have this problem for many months i love this phone but it's a shame that asus devs not fixed it yet. It's my first phone ever that i face this kind of problem 😞

Try to use other cable with original adapter you will get to know that wether its cable problem or software. for me it was cable.

How come everybody using the same cables and adapters to charge others phones and it charging like it should but when we try them on zenfone 6 it extremely slow or not charge at all? Phone not need to work only with genuine adapter and cable and i don't talking about 18w fast charge normal speed that the adapter should charge.

Hey there! Please do not worry! Buy a new USB-C cable and check with it! It should definitely work if the charging brick does not have any issue..
I suffered with my phone for months facing the same issue where my phone will refuse to fast charge. I purchased a new USB-C cable that supports 2.4A fast charge (18W) and it is working and I have been using it for more than one month.
I purchased Ausmo USB - C cable from Amazon and I am using it now. Fast charging is working flawlessly.
