Does it matter which SIM slot I use if I only have one SiM card? When I set up the phone I didn't know which was which, so it ended up in SIM 2. Does AT&T care?

Are you having data connection issues due to the SIM being in the 2nd slot? Or is the device working as expected?

No, it doesn't matter. Both slots offer the same functions
