Blocked SMS not working

I keep receiving SMS notifications from spam numbers I have blocked. I'm using the stock Messages app. The messages are really annoying and I don't want to be notified for blocked contacts. Is this a bug in Asus software or Google messages app?
I haven't received the Android Q update yet.

I'm not sure, I've never heard about this one before.
If this issue continues after your phone updates to Android 10 please update this thread.
