We don't receive May security update until now.
Will Asus plan to roll up android 10 to 5q or not, even a beta version.
We received one major system update only, we have the right for two major update and one beta.

Dear Christine,

I requested earlier today a clarification to your statement and I got a reply from Mr. Debasish Sahoo, which does not answer my questions. I would like a reply from Asus and not from an expert user. Could you please reply to my questions ?- the matter is an important one and we need a statement by Asus.

My questions were:

Do you refer to corrective maintenance, evolutive maintenance or both?

Are you telling us that the Asus 5z, released by Asus in July 2018 (in Europe), was supposed to get the monthly security patches, released by Google on a monthly basis, only until January 2020?

Did Asus release the security patches in 2020, until the May 2020 security patch, by mistake?

Asus is already working on zenfone 5 & 5z number of fixes are yet to come so this is not the end for sure so dont you worry freind and it is confirmed by mod
Only the diffrence is as zenfone 5 series is completing its 2 years mark so it will receive update only subsequently so no more bimonthly updates from now
Every subsequent update will have new security patch and bug fixes for sure
So i hope now its clear to you

asus wont provide any updates after now for all zenfone 5 series, even security one, although other brands promise to deliver 2 os and 1 beta and 3 years security update, asus says that their phones will have support for only 18 months.

Asus will continuously provide applicable updates to our products for 18 months from the device first become available on the market. For any devices launched over 18 months, there will no longer be any system updates and maintenance (including ZenUI Launcher).

Yes you will not receive any updates or security patches after 2 years from market release.
