Hi there!
Model Name: Asus Zenfone 5z (ZS620KL)
Firmware Version: WW_100.10.107.99_20200906
Rooted or not: NOT
Frequency of Occurrence: Always exists
I am facing this problem since 3-4 days and unable to determine whether it is software issue or hardware.
When I plug in charger, phone does not charge/transfer data, but after a quick reboot everything works fine. As soon as I remove charger and re-plug it, it doesn't charge.
Also a constant silent notification pop up in my notification menu (attached screenshot) showing that "Charging connected device via USB" from android system even i have not plug it in. I have tried factory data reset but it does not help. Also tried using different cable but no luck.
Hope u guys can help me.
Much appreciated.

Hi, we'd request you follow the below steps:
1. Clear system cache.
2. Try the same under safe mode:
Hold the power button for 5 seconds => When the screen flashes with option => Press & hold power option => You will get an option to restart in safe mode
3. If still you face the issue
factory reset your phone after taking a full backup : https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1006346/
4. Last option would be to visit the service center to have
a check. Locate here: https://www.asus.com/in/support/Service-Center/India
