cant unlock the bootloader

i can't seem to unlock bootloader using the official unlock device app. Heres what I've tried : - using unlock device (v9.1.0.7_180912) on latest ww firmware (v16.0615.1905.102). - using unlock device (v9.1.0.1.180130) on latest ww firmware (v16.0615.1905.102). i even downgraded my Zenfone 5 to Oreo (Version V15.0615.1803.60) and tried both app version, but the app still can't unlock the bootloader. It says i have network connection issue while i have a perfectly fine connection. Why does it seem like ASUS is completely blocked their phone from being rooted/modified?

ya me also. i think Asus dont want us unlock this smartphone even OEM their hide that option.

i reviewed many old forums/threads related to unlocking ze620kl bootloader, and it seems like they have no trouble using the app. That's why i thought i should've downgrade to Oreo, but when im in Oreo the error still occur. I only bought this phone last week. Maybe they blocked new IMEI phones from unlocking?
