Zenfone 10 Wireless Android Auto won't connect

This topic has popped up a couple times before. I am going to keep bringing it to surface though, as it seems to be a software problem with the phone.

Wireless Android Auto does not work with modern cars, at least it doesn't with the Hyundai Kona 2024. Another report of this was posted earlier this year in April, and another regarding a Hyundai Tucson in October. Thus we can assume this problem is prevalent.

Wired AA works fine, but Wireless just refuses to connect. It seems that Bluetooth connects instantly and works properly: you can call on your phone and listen to music through Bluetooth just fine. But the Wi-Fi connection required for Wireless AA seems to be unable to connect at all. I can see the car's own Wi-Fi (Hyundai-xxxx) in my Wi-Fi list, but the phone is still unable to connect to it. Manual connection is not possible, as it requires a password.

Other Android phones are able to connect easily and quickly, thus it must be a problem with the phone. With the problem persisting for more then 6 months now, an update on the matter would be appreciated.

It seems like the issue with Wireless Android Auto not connecting to the Hyundai Kona 2024 (and other Hyundai models) is likely a software problem with the phone, despite Bluetooth working fine.

While wired Android Auto functions properly, the Wi-Fi connection required for Wireless AA fails to connect. Since other Android phones can connect easily, it's specific to your device.

Yes, I very much know this is the likely case. That is why I'm trying to bring attention to the problem here as well as via e-mail and support tickets. It feels absurd that the problem has gone on for as long as it has, with the earliest reports coming in at the beginning of the year.

A similar problem. pixel 7a connects quietly, zenfone 10 runs for literally 2 seconds and crashes. I don't have a regular head unit, Ekiy t7. At the same time, there are reports that other users are quietly using wireless AA. updates do not solve the problem.
