Android auto wireless for Zenfone 10

LucianStefan

Hi everyone
I have a new Zenfone 10 with android 14, and tried to connect to Hyundai Tucson using Android Auto wireless.
Every time connection failed. I have done car reset and phone reset but it did not worked.
I am pretty sure the problem is from the phone because I can easily connect from a Zenfone 9 with same version of Android and Android auto as on Zenfone 10.
If someone can give me an advice  on what to do next , would really appreciate it
Many thanks!

Hey @LucianStefan,

Can you please share the Bluetooth log for the issue.
Please follow the below steps to enable the built-in log tool (Bug reporter).
1.  Open “Calculator APP”
2.  Enter “.19595+=”
3.  Select the Log type according to the type of issue you want to capture. “Bluetooth”
4.  After your selection the log tool will exit so you can duplicate the issue or wait for it to happen. Try to use the screen recorder to show your issue when possible. If you can't screen record your issue, then please take a screenshot right after the issue has occurred (as a timestamp) so we know where to look in the log.
5.  Navigate back to the log tool via calculator and Tap "FINISH AND SHARE".
6. It takes several minutes for the log to generate. You can exit and do other stuff in the meantime. A silent notification will tell you once the process is done. Tap the notification and then the share button to upload the file to Google Drive and share the link with a moderator. Just make sure to change the permission first so that everyone with the link has permission to view it.
Note: When you're no longer planning on logging your device, enter “.09595+=” in the calculator and the log tool will stop as well as deleting all stored log files. Make sure to share via calculator. The files found in internal storage -> asus_log are not the correct files (they are only 1.2kb)

Hey, any luck resolving this? I have the exact same problem - even the car is also a Tucson but it's not the car as every other android and iphone connects without issues.

Hi,

I have (had?) the same problems. Volkswagen ID.3 Pro S (2021) with 10" head unit. My phone is on Android 14, firmware build UKQ1.230917.001.34.1004.0204.201

I enabled developer settings and played around there a bit.

- activated wireless certification

- changed to Bluetooth AVRCP 1.5

- maximum number of connected Bluetooth devices: 1

Also, for the standard USB configuration I changed from "file transfer" to something else and then back to file transfer.

Since I did that, I didn't have a disconnect, yet. But it's only two days ago (300km) that I changed the settings. Maybe someone else can try and confirm?

(Oh and maybe I was just lucky that the error didn't fire in the last two days)

Ok, it has happened again: I was on the phone via Android Auto and then the car infotainment crashed after some 2-3 minutes. Reboot of infotainment, 2-3 minutes phone talk, next crash.

I have created a log file as you explained. I was about to upload it but there are information included that I don't think I want to share. (Wifi SSID, used apps and so forth). Which are the bluetooth specific files you need?
