What are the chances that there will be a sequel next year? Or is Asus ready to cut its loses and go back to making laptops and PC components?

If they give OS updates for minimum 4 years, they can be in market.

Samsung is giving 4 years OS updates. Pixel is now giving 6-7 years. For a premium price, 2 years OS updates is not worth buying.

Also, customer support does not exist in many countries.
