Running in the background

After switching the phone to Zenfone 10, some of the apps don't properly run on the background. I have Tesla car and the app works as a key. You don't do anything just walk closer to the car and you can open up and drive, normally. With Zenfone 10 half of the time I have to manually start the application which is not very convenient. I checked all the settings related to battery usage. And did my best in 3 days or so to tune it up at no avail.

The toggle to allow running in the background for the Tesla app is always on, yet the app seems to be stopped by the system. This is also consistent when I switch from airplane mode back to normal.

If you know how to fix it, please help.

Thank you for the answer. I did switch Allow background usage to ON long ago, but did not think the whole thing has a submenu with "Unrestricted" option. I'll give it a try. Hopefully it works, and if so, I'll share this advice in the Tesla group where few other people reported the same issue.

Had a similar issue after switching phones while working with a game development agency in London UK some apps just don’t play nice with aggressive background restrictions. Still haven’t found a solid fix for the Tesla one though.

See the reply above -  in my case it worked perfectly well. I didn't know Battery Usage toggle also has an additional option after tapping on the text. So,  Your app | long tap >> App info >> Battery usage, tap on the text "Allow background usage" and switch it on.
