Hi!
So, the title sort of sums up the problem. I bought the ZenFone 10 a little more than 6 months ago, after my old phone, a previous Zenfone model, was starting to get worn out. It had a bunch of issues by then, which aren't super relevant, but I also had trouble with the microphone starting to die. By the end, it was getting to a point where I just automatically take calls on my headphones, because everyone always complained about not being able to hear me unless I did so. On my new phone, I now have a similar issue, except it is only on regular phonecalls and in 99% of the cases, it's calls with my mum. I'd be liable to say it was her phone fritzing, especially because she's also hard of hearing, but she can connect her phone to her hearing aids, and the issue has also happened on a few rare occasions with other people, so I'm still worried. Has anyone else had similar issues?

Hi @borlinjo1,
Can you please clarify whether the phone call intermittently gets muted or does the mic just stops working?
Also, you mentioned that the issue generally takes place with regular phone calls, do you not experience this issue with third party apps?

Hey @borlinjo1, I posted here some time back - i tried everything and nothing works.
Reddit is full of these kinds of posts: example 1 & 2.
I'm sure it's a multifaceted problem 1) straight up bad mic 2) too aggressive noise cancelling 3) the fact it switches mics depending on the mode used (normal call - bottom mic only / speaker call - top mic only).
I'll be sending it for "repairs" since it still falls under warranty, but I'm fairly hopeless. A firmware update would fix it, but ASUS has fallen from grace.
Best of luck to you.
