I was wanting to use the Zenbook Pro 14 Duo with the lid closed and Xreal Air glasses on planes but I found when closing the lid there is an immediate performance impact in games, it's not a gradual one like you'd get when maxing out thermal limits meaning this limitation is artificial.
I know this limit is probably there to prevent overheating but this laptop has a TON of ventilation even with the lid closed.
Is there any way around this?
I'm guessing it's hard coded in the BIOS.

Could you please provide the settings of your laptop (the behavior when the lid is closed) and the applications you were using at that time? Generally, we do not recommend using the laptop with the screen closed, as this can result in poor heat dissipation.

Lid being closed while plugged in is set to do nothing.
The applications are games. There is an artificial performance limitation being applied while the lid is closed. I'd like this limitation removed. Modern processors already thermal throttle if too hot so having this additional limitation seems unnecessary especially on this laptop with all it's ventilation.
