SwarajStarting to think this might be a Beta release. Which is odd, why is the Beta still going if A11 is out?https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/203058#Comment_203058

I don't expect a fix for the locked 2.96 CPU. It's probably to save the devices from dying.
Don't know why everyone is getting Netflix installed because I don't have it.
I see the logo on the screenshots taken through Game Genie though.

Volodesiyeah thats ri8 if they wanted to save devices from dying then they should just delete the option of selecting cpu freq in game genie which is just for a show now.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/203076#Comment_203076

This wasn't an issue in A10. I would downgrade, but I use the Home Control menu a lot in A11. My phone never got above 40C, even when it was locked at 2.96GHz. I thought the whole point of this phone was being able to run this phone at a higher clock rate. Something you can't do on others. Pretty much makes the phone no better than my old Pixel 2XL now. Besides the very degraded battery.
Don't know why Netflix got reinstalled. I only use Emby/YouTube for watching things and uninstalled every other media app. Went to update apps and the Store showed an update for Netflix only.

VolodesiWhen I factory reset - I do get Netflix being installed after uninstalling and each reboot as described by other users @Gustav_ASUShttps://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/203076#Comment_203076

ronald1985Man just create another thread on it. Let this thread stay on topic as mentioned in title.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/203098#Comment_203098

The package triggering this is com.asus.appupdater.
As a temporary workaround, run this command in ADB shell:
- pm disable-user --user 0 com.asus.appupdater
You should receive a message:
- Package com.asus.appupdater new state: disabled-user
Once this is done, uninstall Netflix and reboot. Netflix won't be installed.
I do not know what the side effects is though.
