Urgent need help on local backup restore

Hi,
I need help. Here's the issues I'm facing.
1. Backup on A9.
2. Upgrade to A10.
3. A10 factory reset to have clean version.
4. Try to restore A9 backup.
5. Local backup restoration instantly shows 100% completed but done nothing.

I need to get back my >10k photos!

Did you back up photos to Google drive? If I am correct (but not absolutely sure) standard back up takes care of things like apps, settings, contacts. This kind of stuff. I back up photos and documents to Google drive and make hard copy to my computer just in case. I hope I am wrong in your case!
