Speaker volume gone down

The speaker volume of my rog 2 has gone very low.
I visited service center. He says to replace the display to repair the speaker. What do I do??

Happened to me before. Resolved by brushing speakers grill very gently with tooth brush. Clean them well and you will be surprised how the sound will increase

I guess ASUS's plan is to ignore this problem until we get bored or forget about it.
But it's hard to forget about an issue when you're using it everyday.

same problem mate, my lower speaker volume is so low and it feels like it has been destroyed.

Same issue here, but out of warranty I don't want to pay a single penny on Rog2 anymore, as support sucks. Once it's dead I'll go for Oneplus.
