I recently noticed that the black coating/layer around the screen is peeling off . I don't know what is this. I don't know if it's something to be worried about. Should i contact service centre or ia it normal? the layer peeled off completely on one side and half peeled on another side(long side/length). Attaching images of the layer peeling. Does anyone have this problem?

They will tell you to send it in for repairs, only to send you a bill for $300 after a month saying the damage was induced by the customer and is not under warranty.
File a claim with your bank.
