ROG 2 Screen turning black and still could hear apps running in background also phone turning off

Hold the power button and volume down button together and this restart your phone.
Whatever app you was using must of flooded the phone causing it to hang/freeze.

Replace the pm8150 chip on your logicboard and your phone will be fixed. It's a hardware defect, asus has not designed the logicboard to well there. If you don't want to pay for an entire logicboard which is costly then I'd reocmmend either doing it yourself if you have the equipment or let a professional do it which would still be cheaper than asus service replaing the logicboard.
