I bought a OnePlus13 for my wife, who wanted the best possible camera on an Android smartphone, with outstanding performance and capable of lasting, eSIM, water-resistant, and with a modern battery (Si/C Li-Ion). Now I wonder: it is much cheaper than the ROG9 but offers much more. Hasselblad also collaborated for the camera lenses. What justifies this difference?
Asus, don't waste your time with useless features like AirTriggers, Cooler or fancy LED screen on the back.
I would like to have full control over GPU/CPU even via external buttons, unlocked bootloader (like the OnePlus13), at least 4 OS updates, a good and fast camera, eSIM, powerful speakers and a modern battery.

If 1+13v has it, then use it, who is forcing you to take Asus? The man suggests cutting out all the features of the phone and making it something like a Chinese phone, complete nonsense. The new batteries are a little more capacious, but their service life and charging cycles are short, we don’t need that.
Yes, I would like to see more extended support and not 2 years, a more convenient interface for the back icon.

Most of them are Chinese phones, even the ones from well-known Western brands. Are you saying that a gaming phone is just a phone with fancy screens and lights on the back, average cameras and communication functions?
Every flagship phone has the best CPU/GPU, lots of RAM, and more. The only difference with ROG phones is that you don't have much control over the CPU/GPU, which is important to me.
Again, considering the price, the ROG phones should have all the features of a flagship phone and more.
But you're right, I'm waiting for the specs of the next ROG phone; if it's just a cosmetic upgrade that doesn't address fundamental problems like the lack of eSIM, average camera and lack of support for new OS, I'll probably upgrade to a 1+14 later this year. My current ROG phone, after almost 950 battery charges, is obsolete. My bet is that the Si/C batteries will in fact last longer.

No, it is clear that their resource is 2 times less! Only the Chinese who promote them everywhere do not talk about this significant drawback, and instead of your 950 charges, such a battery will already get tired after 500.
And by the way, this phone also has an e-SIM, but only in the Taiwan version, I have just such a version 9 pro on 512 GB.

I think you are confusing silicon batteries with silicon-carbon batteries.
I found an article on them, and there are countless others, but as with any new tech, only time will tell.
