Kodak LE (low energy) is designed to replace the ancient SBC codec. Its sound quality is comparable to that of the AAC codec, but it consumes less power, which is of little concern to the consumer since Bluetooth is not particularly demanding. The LDAC codec transmits a lot of data, but it's encrypted and then decrypted in the headphones, resulting in a data loss of around 40-60%. The codec is also very finicky, frequently interrupting and reducing the bitrate, which is not very good.
The Chinese have good codecs, but they are only available on a very limited number of devices, so there's no point in discussing them.
The APTX Lossless codec transmits information bit-by-bit with CD quality, meaning the information reaches the headphones completely as if it were wired. It's the choice of audiophiles and music connoisseurs, and a big plus is the stable connection; it's probably the best one currently available.
