Rog 8 not have Adaptive refresh rate?

does the ROG 8 not have adaptive refresh rate? I think the ROG 8 has an adaptive refresh rate because of the LTPO AMOLED screen type, but it doesn't work on my ROG 8. or because of a software bug? mine is always locked at 120Hz with auto settings

(focus on the top left screen of the phone in the video) I mean like in the video I attached, when there is no touch activity on the screen (the screen is still on) the refresh rate can drop to 1hz then when there is touch activity it will return to 120hz.

I think the OS is broken because mine doesn't work like that in "Auto" and it's not at all consistent.

Sometimes it can hit 1 Hz on AOD right before the display turns off, but the lock screen is always 60Hz.   If I put the phone to sleep and wake it up several times, sometimes it can hit 24 or 48 in an app that's not drawing anything.   Usually all apps are locked at 60, except for Settings being locked at 120.  Not even changing the "X" mode or scrolling makes any difference.
