Reopen Thread: ROG 8 Battery Drain

From 70% to 40% real quick without playing, Any update regarding this? My Partner's ROG 8 still drains really fast compared to my unit. We could provide logs from the phone if needed for the devs to check. Just give us the instructions and we'll assist so we can have a fix for this on-going issue.

Any chance you're using the charging limit?  The 80% setting seems to be very random on the ROG 8.  The same goes for me charging it from 80% to 100% when I'm going to be out for a long day.  That 20% might be quick or take a very long time.

I'm using charge limit and set it to 90 to not stress the battery. Same goes for my partner but the battery still drains

Try restarting your phone several times, I was curious and told my partner to restart her phone about 4 times. After that, the phone seems to calibrated the battery and doesn't drain very fast now. But I'll observe the behavior if the issue will still occur

For my partner, ever since it's been draining like crazy even after updating to the latest firmware, but somehow managed to, I think fixed it as a workaround maybe? by restarting it several times (4 times). Upon booting up we did a normal restart.
