Excessive heating

Hello, I have an asus rog phone 8 pro, has anyone had the back cover come off from overheating the phone?

Woah, no.  Send that in for a warranty replacement.

ASUS had a solid reputation for warranty fraud so photograph everything before you send it in.  Be prepared to protest charges.  You can find some guides for dealing with ASUS warranty fraud on YouTube.
