Asus rog phone 8 charging problem

there is a problem with the phone that it stops charging at random percentages of 88% or 92% and only starts charging again after reconnecting

Someone else encountered this problem If I leave the charger connected for a long time, does it charge to 100% or does it always have to be reconnected

it would be a hardware problem if it wouldn't charge at all, I think it's more of a software problem.

Yes i have the same problem . . . When its charge around 60 - 80 some time it disconnected and connected again  . . I found out the issue is my phone is to hot when charging. . . When i put cooler when charging the problem is solved
