Rog phone 7 - phone kicks me out of Fortnite during game play and is getting increasingly hot

My new Rog phone 7 cannot handle fornite that my Samsung S10 would efficiently handle. I have tried reinstalling Fortnite several times but the game the abruptly kicks me out. Could this be something related to the android 13 update?

Which firmware version are you on? You can find this by going to Settings -> System -> About phone -> Build number

In which way are you being kicked out? Does the game closes itself?

During game-play it just goes to the home screen. Then when I try to get back to fortnite it reloads the game . I will try to record if possible. But the phone is getting extremely hot, not like before i used to pay for a few hours and it would be minorly warm
