I’m currently using the ROG Phone 7/7 Ultimate with firmware version WW_34.1010.0820.90 (Android 14). On the official website, the latest update zip file available is WW_35.0604.0820.78 (Android 15).
If I simply download the .78 zip file and place it in the root directory, will it update successfully, or do I need to install the WW_35.0604.0820.56 version first?
Could anyone please advise and guide me on this?

Hi @azwadrab
The phone will recognize which update is supposed to be in order, what could happen is that the phone will recognize the update but know it's not the right one and not update at all.
Specially since the OS updates are substantially large, in comparison to smaller firmware updates.

Just try to install the latest firmware from the official website, maybe it Will work greatfully.
After that, formatt system for the clean install in order to avoid glitches or issues.

Update on this thread:
I have successfully updated to Android 15, version WW-35.0604.0820.78, from WW-34.1010.0820.90 (Android 14). All I did was download the official update ZIP file from the ASUS ROG Phone 7 BIOS and firmware section, then place the ZIP file in the root directory of my internal storage.
The system automatically detected the update file. It took some time to load and verify the ZIP, and then I received a notification saying the update was ready. After confirming, the phone restarted. The first boot took around 10 minutes, and after that—boom—the device booted up perfectly and is running smoothly.
