So essentially, Asus ROG Phone 6 received a firmware update that destroys the camera, flashlight, fingerprint and ultimately the motherboard itself, to brick your phone less than 2 years after buying it, and it can't even updated to Android 15 to fix this bad firmware. Always more convinced that this is ROBBERY. Providing a firmware you KNOW it will destroy the customer's phone without giving the option to downgrade to the precedent firmware should be illegal. I will not stop this time. I'm consulting various government's customer offices here in Europe where we have rights and you will pay for this. #rogphone6

Yes, that's what I'm going to do. 10 years buying Asus products and now I'm so enraged towards these idiots that I'm think to sell my notebook as well (it has no issues) BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO SEE ASUS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
It's not about money, it's a about **bleep**ing people.

Sadly, I have to agree. I've posted about this on Reddit, Facebook, and even here — and everyone keeps telling me the same thing:
👉 This is a well-known issue with the ROG 6.
It’s honestly really disappointing. With all due respect, this hasn’t happened to just one or two people — there are a lot of users experiencing the same problem. And if you try to mention it on Reddit, you often get attacked or shut down for bringing it up.
When my phone was still under warranty, ASUS replaced the motherboard, claiming that was the cause. But only a few months later, the same issue came back. Now that my warranty has expired, the official ASUS lab literally told me:
"It’s not worth fixing. You might want to go back to your old phone or just buy a different one."
Why? Because the repair cost is almost the same as what I paid for the phone in the first place.
At the very least, I think ASUS should acknowledge this issue and offer either replacement devices or a real solution. I switched back to my ROG 3 — but it’s outdated, has no security updates, and a lot of apps don’t work properly anymore (Google Wallet, for example, isn’t supported and my bank doesn’t accept it either).
Honestly, for a flagship device, this whole situation is kind of unacceptable.

I should link this answer to every "Asus assistance" member that answer me to get in touch with my nearest assistance point. Morons.

Also a long time sufferer from this issue.
Started off with selfie cam.
Started using 3rd party camera app, worked for a little.
Now it's progressed to the point where opening my camera will crash my phone. Then it will go into a boot loop sequence... Yes bending my phone often helps the phone boot... But this is unacceptable for a 2 year old phone.. I've had this issue for over a year too.
