Fixing the Asus ROG Phone 5s’s inability to connect to WiFi

1. Reboot your phone

The following are some of the steps:

 a. Press and hold your phone’s power button.

 b. You’ll then see an options menu, from which you can choose “Restart.”

Check if your Asus ROG Phone 5s is connected to WiFi after it has successfully restarted. It should have to work immediately, based on our own experience. However, if the problem persists, we recommend that you review the rest of our suggestions.

2. Check to see if your phone is within a reasonable range. [ Asus ROG Phone 5s not connecting to WiFi ]

To get a proper connection and good connection speed, your phone must be within a suitable range of functional routers.

a. If you are 30-feet away from the router connection, you can generally speed up the connection.

b. The connection will be a little sluggish from 30′ to 60′ feet away.

c. If the range exceeds this, the WiFi connection performance is likely to be slowed, and the connection interface may be weakened.

3. Forget the WiFi Network

This issue might lead to the WiFi network being corrupted if the connection parameters on the wireless access point are changed frequently. It is preferable to remove the WiFi network in order to establish a suitable connection interface.

Following are the steps:

a. First, go to your Asus ROG Phone 5s’s “Settings.”

b. Next, select the “WiFi” connection.

c. Tap and hold the WiFi network option for a few seconds until your desired WiFi network appears.

d. Tap the “Forget” WiFi network option after selecting your network.

4. Reconnect to the WiFi Network [ Asus ROG Phone 5s not connecting to WiFi ]

Make sure you’ve completed step 3 before beginning these steps, and then:

a. Select “Settings” from the menu

b. Choose “WiFi”

c. Double-check that the “WiFi” connection is turned on

d. Now, choose your desired WiFi network > Enter the password (if your chosen WiFi network’s security is enabled) > Tap on “Connect” & that’s it.

Still unable to connect to WiFi on your Asus ROG Phone 5s? Don’t panic; there are a couple more methods listed below that you can try.

5. Restart your Router Or Modem.

Select connection-related difficulties can often be remedied quickly and easily by restarting the modem or router.

Following are the steps:

a. Disconnect the modem power cable first

b. If you’re using a router, try disconnecting the data wire or pressing the router’s power button to turn it off

c. Wait 30-40 seconds before continuing

d. Finally, reconnect the modem or router cable

e. Check to see if your device has a proper LED light

Rachel Gomez
