Wi-Fi stopped working after random reboot

After using the device for 2 odd years, the device rebooted yesterday all of a sudden and wifi stopped ever since. Whenever I try to turn the wifi on, it stays at "turning wifi on" state for some time or turns back to off state immediately. Tried rebooting, shutting the phone down and starting it back up, flight mode and all sorts of shenanigans but to no avail. The last update was over a month ago and no update since. Need assistance on the same. Find the details of the device below:
