Hello everyone.
Do you know if (and when) Asus will unlock the ability to run level 3 in X Mode, without a cooling fan. Because it's a strange thing that the Rog Phone 2 works at 100% power (no fan) and works better in an emulator (e.g. Dolphin).
Rog 2 has a processor frequency of 2.96 GHz while rog phone 5 is max 1.56 GHz. max. It is also strange that other smartphones (not gaming) with the 888 snapdragon work in the machine at full power, without additional accessories.
Rog Phone 3 also has level 3 locked in X Mode, but there, although you can manually set it to run at 3.09Ghz.
Can someone also explain to me the differences in processor timing, for ROG 2/3/5, in the same Level 2 mode in X Mode

I'm just being realistic here, to be fair as well, performance is currently the least of ASUS's problem as there seem to be a rather massive problem going on with calls getting dropped and so on.

Given your lackluster performance when skipping is not enabled (my rog 3 has literally 13FPS more than your Rog5) I think it's safe to assume that you will most likely experience some FPS drops later down the road when lots of stuff is happening on your screen, so I guess 1080p should be your target resolution rather than 2k. Not that I expected anything else to be fair, thanks for the insightful information tho, really appreciate it! ☺️

Once the mods approved my posts ull see what I mean. Have tested the same on my Rog3 and without skipping EFS i have 47FPS on same settings as you instead of your 34FPS, which is quite a dratsic difference, also ull see my clockspeed of 3100mhz instead of your 850ish.
Overall seeing that without skipping EFS you barely get 35fps I would think that on 2k settings even with skipping EFS ull probably encounter some small fps drops here and there on 2k resolution when more stuff is happening, which is a shame but it is what it is I guess.
