Rog 5 volume control and sound fluctuating

Hi everyone,

My ROG 5 phone is 2 weeks old and currently I'm very disappointed. Any audio I listen too whether it you tube, Instagram, personal recorded etc. The sound volume seems to self alter from quiet to loud.
When I adjust the volume it increases a little bit and the volume display icon when the volume key is pressed it shows the ring tone icon not the audio icon. If I expand the volume controls and adjust the audio the sound increases as it should.
I've tried turning on and off the mono setting and also using joining the volume controls. Neither helped.
The phone tells me everything is updated.
Ive also restarted the phone run YouTube via chrome and things worked for about 15sec correctly, it then reverted back to ultering the ringtone.
It should be noted that sometimes the video I'm watching pauses when it changes from quality audio to poor.
Any help would be appreciated as I'm on the verge of sending the phone back and going back to a Samsung.

1.Please confirm that you are on the latest firmware version 18.0840.2109.176?
2.Is the problem appearing all the time or occasionally?
3.Does the issue persist after rebooting your device?

Hey I managed to sort it. Yes I was fully updated to latest firmware etc.
I ended up doing a factory reset which fixed my issue. Then updated everything once again and problem hasn't returned.
The original update must have become currupt somehow during install.
