Giving advice to install and use Gcam while a service blocks the camera (common), hardware failure (rare) is nonsense, the logic escapes me.
reset the phone, what do you mean by that, reset completely in factory mode !!! or turn Rog5 off and on again
The Firmware indication is useful, it is not mentioned
Information on what was done between the last use of the camera and this failure would be welcome.

Hi milanchandegara1,
Please mention the software version, make sure you are updated to the latest version.
You can run SMMI test to check if this is related to hardware:
How to Enter SMMI_TEST (test hardware)
Go to Calculator=>type " .12345+= "
you will be entered to SMMI_TEST
Select Receiver1_Test=>Press Start to check
