To clarify, confusingly 5G is 5Ghz, does your rog 5 see your router with the 2.4ghz frequency

I can't tell you where the problem comes from but the Rog 5 sees channels 36-64 well and communicates correctly with them in Wifi 5 (I didn't do the test in wifi 6)

Yes, I just took it out to check, I am connected on 44, it also sees the other 5 ghz wifi of my neighbors on 36,40,48,52,56,60,64,100,104,108,112
Check your AX9000 firmware revision
CN 1.0.108 or Global 3.0.40
On the Rog5, go to system, reset option and reset Wifi, mobile data and Bluetooth
Look in your MI router interface if Wifi 5 AC is not disabled (disabled by default) and enable it to do a test
