Asus ROG 5s throttling

Is there a way to stop the Asus ROG 5s from throttling on games. When I am playing games my cpu will be up in the 2 to 3 GHz range and my games will be running smooth. Then out of nowhere my game will be sluggish and my cpu will be at only 850MHz and will not budge. I paid over $1000 and this phone is brand new.

I talked to a replacement finally today and they said I can send my phone in for repairs and pay for the repair...lol what a joke

Look at defective screen. And they say I can pay for repairs when that's how it came and probably the answer to all my screen issues...what a joke..$1000 for a phone and it comes broken.then they want me to shovel out more money ...
