It's by design to use the entire body. To reduce heat, use lower refresh rate and lower screen brightness. If you deactivate X-mode, temps will be lower. If you need it to get even lower, then you need to enter your games scenario profile, set performance mode to hardcore tuning and temperature control to low (this means performance will throttle sooner).
