XD5

Hi,

I'am currently looking into to replace my old ubiquti AP's with XD5 (I already have ASUS RT-AX57).

Since the existing Ubiquti is mounted in the ceiling I would like to mount the XD5 the same way. In the instruction it says not to mount the AP in the ceiling but what is the reason for this? Is it only that the mounting not will be 100% safe, meaning it could fall down or is it something with the coverage?

I have a small house and the 3-pack of XD5 will easily cover the whole area.

Thank you for your inquiry. 

To get the best wireless coverage, we recommend placing your router in the center of your home. 

This will ensure that the signal can cover every corner more evenly.

Also, please avoid placing the router in the following locations:

1. Near other wireless devices: Such as Bluetooth devices, microwaves, etc. The wireless signals generated by these devices may interfere with the router, causing network instability.
2. Behind metal objects or thick walls: Metal objects and thick walls will block wireless signals and affect signal strength.
