RT-AX5400 or RT-AX82U

Hello i want to buy one of these modems RT-AX5400 and RT-AX82U but couldnt see which land lines are they using so i just wanted to ask would they support vdsl 2 and fiberoptic at the some time we have 250mb connection for now but in 6 mouth we will get 1000mb fiber connection so i want a modem which can accept both connection is any of these models accepting both i did do some research and people are saying one of these models are good but couldnt find any information about would they accept 250mb phone cable or 1000mb fiber cable i live in germany btw thx for all the help

Both of those models are routers, not modems.  But fiber uses an ONT not a modem.  There is a DSL-AX82U:

Oww ok i now i see why i couldnt find any connection information i will check thx and also is there a modem which accepts fiber directly without ont device ont is the device that convert fiber to lan cable right ? And it seems i can not buy this from asus it gives 404 error can u give me advice on which modem should i get for 1000mb fiber

Combined modem/router or ONT/router are typically called gateway.  I finally found ASUS Germany and you are correct I could find no DSL model offered there:

At least here in the USA ONTs are not charged a fee but are installed on/in the house.  (They are considered the property of the Internet Service Provider).  Although ONT/Routers do exist I see them as two pieces an ONT SFP "stick" which is inserted into the router/gateway.

ASUS doesn't sell an ONT/router aka gateway at all, and doesn't appear to sell the modem/router (gateway) in Germany.  (I also checked Amazon there).

One can typically purchase the modem here, or some ISPs offer them free or a small fee every month added to the service.  Usually you pick a separate router with the specifications you want, and keep the modem/ONT function a separate device.

BTW a MOdem is a modulator demodulator which converters one data type into another (packets into voice and voice data back to packets).  ONT is not a modem because fiber was designed for data, no need to convert...
