Yo wsp guys im new to this whole community on the gaming side im use to using xfinity, so when i buy the gaming router. I wont have to pay for internet monthly anymore ? An if so what the process on hwo that works ?

A gaming router doesn’t replace your internet service. You still need to pay your ISP (Xfinity, Spectrum, etc.) for the actual internet connection. The router only improves Wi-Fi performance, speed stability, and gaming latency. So you’ll keep paying monthly for internet — the router just distributes the connection inside your home.

It is unclear whether you are being charged by Xfinity for modem/router/gateway rental fee.  Purchasing your own router and returning theirs may remove the monthly rental fee, but you still need to pay for service as @richardcole notes.
