Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE SlimSAS specs

Hi, 

I want to buy the Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE but first I would like to understand the slimSAS ports that this board have.

Two slimSAS, can I connect backplane extenders on it and use up to how many HDDs on it?
Can I use cable extenders?

What is the specification 16i 8i 4i?

In the specs the only information found was:
SlimSAS_1 port supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode NVMe device
SlimSAS_2 port supports PCIe 4.0 x4 mode NVMe device

Upon confirmation, the SlimSAS specification is SFF-8654, and the speed is PCIe 4.0 x 4.
To connect NVMe storage devices, the SFF-8654 (SlimSAS) to SFF-8639 (U.2/3, PCIe 4.0 x4) cable is required.
Additionally, since there is no SATA mode, each SlimSAS can only connect to one U.2 SSD.
