Hi all,
i'm looking for a board for the AM5 Platform, which has built in 10GB network and Thunderbolt connection.
Now i saw the " ASUS ProArt X870E-CREATOR WIFI " which should have both.
since i use a special optical Thunderbolt 3 Cable from corning ( 20 Meters) to connect to a Thunderbolt dock, i wonder if the provided Chip on the Motherboard works with it? By now i'm using the PCIE EX4 Thunderbolt Card. With that card it works at the moment without any problems but i wonder if UBS4 = Thunderbolt.
somebody habe any experience with it?

Hello @lundy
Thank you for reaching out to us.
USB4 and Thunderbolt are distinct specifications, and you may refer to the table below for details (variations may occur based on device or port specifications):
The ProArt X870E-CREATOR WIFI does indeed support 10 Gbps wired networking, but it is via USB4 Type-C.
We recommend verifying that the specifications of your current Thunderbolt device, such as power output, align with USB4 requirements.
Thank you.
