Dear Asus Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out for assistance regarding an issue I’m experiencing with my Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard.
Here are the details of my setup:
The issue I am facing is as follows: when I install the RAM sticks in the black slots (2x4 GB) or the blue slots (2x4 GB), the PC boots without any problems. However, when I attempt to use all four RAM slots simultaneously, the system fails to boot and displays a DRAM error, accompanied by a red light indicator on the motherboard.
I have already taken the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Despite these efforts, I am unable to boot with three or four RAM sticks installed. I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions you could provide to help resolve this issue.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hello @IronMan2080
Thank you for reaching out to us and we apologize for the delayed response due to the recent local holiday.
May I inquire if the situation you described occurred following any recent changes, such as a BIOS update or the connection of an external device?
Could you please share the memory part number and confirm that if the four currently installed memory modules are listed in the P8Z77-V LK Memory QVL, and do they come from the same kit?
We recommend clearing CMOS and checking if the system can boot successfully with the default BIOS settings.
Additionally, please ensure that the current BIOS, intel firmware, and driver versions are all sourced from the P8Z77-V LK support page.
Thank you.

Hello @IronMan2080
As there were local national holidays, we apologize for the delay in responding and any inconvenience this may have caused.
May I ask if you have tried following the steps in the FAQ I previously provided for clearing CMOS?
The memory part number you mentioned, "M378B5173DB0," doesn’t seem to be listed in the P8Z77-V LK QVL, which is the list ASUS has verified for optimal stability and compatibility.
Additionally, based on our search, the "M378B5173DB0" memory appears to be a single-module specification.
Please avoid using memory from different kits to prevent potential compatibility issues, as below:
・Ensure that all memory modules are from the same validated memory kit. Do not mix DIMMs from different memory kits—even if they are the same brand and model (e.g., two DIMMs each from two different memory kits). Mixing and matching DIMMs can result in a failure to boot and compatibility issues. In particular, the stability of a system with mixed DIMMs cannot be guaranteed when XMP (Intel)/D.O.C.P (AMD)/EXPO (AMD)/AEMP/AEMPII is enabled. For example, enabling XMP (Intel)/D.O.C.P (AMD)/EXPO (AMD)/AEMP/AEMPII to speeds above DDR5 4800MHz or above DDR4 3200MHz could result in an unstable system.
Thank you.
