Hi,
I'm 99% done setting up my new ZenFone 8 but there is one final feature missing from the phone compared to my old Samsung Galaxy, and that is the ability to hide the navigation bar.
Android 11 removed the simple workaround (www.xda-developers.com/google-confirms-overscan-gone-android-11-crippling-third-party-gesture-apps/) we had to hide the navigation bar, so without the support of Asus, my only options to prevent the inevitable pill-shaped OLED burn in is to either root my phone, or burn a custom rom.
I'm pretty sure both of those options will void my warranty, so I was hoping as ZenFones used to have this feature (https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/11277/zenfone-how-to-hide-navigation-bar), that it will be reimplemented when the Android 12 beta ends.
Thanks for reading 👍
Edit: sorry for the links everywhere but I don't have the privilege to use hyperlinks yet
