How do I put this pen 2.0 in standby mode?

Doesn't seem right that it is alway dead when I'm ready to use it, sound equally silly to have it on the charger 24/7 until I'm ready to use it.

The ASUS Pen 2.0 SA203H does not have a dedicated power switch button. 

To address your concerns, we provide the following two feature explanations:

Battery level reminder: When the battery capacity drops to 35%, the LED indicator on the stylus will flash a red breathing light to remind you to charge.
Automatic sleep mode: When not connected to a device, not charging, and the system is idle, the SA203H will automatically enter sleep mode to minimize battery consumption.
To ensure your ASUS Pen 2.0 SA203H always maintains optimal working condition, we recommend that you:

1. Regularly check the battery level.
2. Charge the stylus promptly when the LED indicator flashes a red breathing light.
