Hi,

I've got an issue that my Asus ExpertBook 14 B5402FBA screen is glitching / flickering like in the video below.

What has been done to fix the issue:

  • Check that the latest BIOS and GPU drivers are in use.
  • Checked with MyAsus that there are no available updates.
  • I've disconnected my external monitors multiple times.

Versions:

  • Windows 11 Pro, Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631
  • BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends International, LLC. B5402FBA.309, 06/06/2024
  • Intel Iris driver version 31.0.101.5333

Has anybody any tips for fixing the issue?

@iisti
It is possible that the graphics card is malfunctioning.
We recommend referring to the following FAQ to uninstall the graphics card from the Device Manager and then reinstall the driver.

Thanks for the reply.

For some reason the screen hasn't glitched for a while. I don't know if the issue is with some bad contact or something else. The issue started suddenly and I was seeing it maybe for one week before making this thread.

I have installed the updates below after the original post, but I don't know if they had any effect.

  • 2024-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5045935)
  • 2024-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5046633)

I'll do more troubleshooting if the issue reoccurs.

Those Windows updates didn't fix the problem. The glitching is back. I didn't see option to check hardware in the BIOS. I re-installed GPU driver, but that didn't help either.

I don't run any resource intensive on the laptop because I mainly connect to another machine to work remotely, and the glitching happens despite that.

Maybe I need to contact Asus service center.
