[Clarified] Netflix HDR support

Hello Asus moderators,
Can you give an update on if there are any plans to support HDR/HDR 10 for Netflix?
Currently the max supported resolution is 1080p at 30hz which doesn't do the screen any justice and makes for a bad viewing experience. I'd really like to see some better refresh rates.

Movie framerates in Netflix is not something we control.
ROG2 supports HDR in Netflix already last time I checked.
It is not according to their website.

Have you checked your phone? Does the HDR icon appear next to movies with HDR support?
And you need the higher tariff on Netflix as well to stream HDR.
I just verified this again on two ROG Phone II samples (12/512), they both show the HDR icon.
Strange..
Can you tell me which titles u used to test this?
For example; "Our Planet" , "The Witcher", "Altered Carbon"
Keep in mind you need the UHD tariff for HDR streaming per Netflix on segmentation of their plans.
Thx. It does work with those titles.
Netflix supports HDR given one has adequate subscription and the title being watched is recorded in HDR .
This and the fact that most titles look like trash on my phone confused me.
Yes the great majority of content is not in HDR. But most of the new stuff from Netflix own production is.
Nah I mean their site does not say that the Rog phone 2 is supported
I see. I didn't look for that. I just extended my subscription from TV to the phone. The app was preinstalled. Logged in on the phone and went to settings to see the options. Set everything to highest quality. Having the premium subscription, was quite happy how it looked on the phone.
It's definitely not the worst but switching from 4k 60fps to full HD 30fps hurts a bit. The colours are nice though
I like the colours and black & white rendition (see Roma)
That does look really good. Verry sharp
