Well. Let's agree to disagree. Also I was just trying to help others have a temporary alternative method until asus fixes the issue. But since you seem to know it all. I retract my offer of assistance. 😂
Showing people a workaround is all nice and good but don't call it a fix misleading people into possibly spending money and time on an app that makes generally the image quality worse and borderline almost getting completely rid of black alltogether.
Also I do probably know more about the issue than you. Not only do I know the cause which i explained on a video which is posted here, but I'm also the best bet so far to create an application that will completely get rid of black crush while improving on image quality if Asus doesn't do it, albeit it will require root.
Still waiting for the black crush issue to be fix please make it happen as soon as possible Asus so that we can be contented that we choose your rog phone than other phone brands
I didn't start anything yet, as I'm still waiting on Asus to see what their move is going to be. I really don't feel like derping around with android dev atm.
Did Asus use some sort of LCD display ? Blacks dont have even half the contrast and seem gray. Youtube videos have a red tint and irrespective of brightness colours seem washed out/over exposed. Pleasssse Asus fix this issue. Everything's fine except the display. Plzz
Yes LCD shows accurate colors than Any Amoled and don't have any black crush! MI 10T does smart job while launch it. They made real home work before selling their devices in market. I've doubt Asus not even checked/Inspected Display quality before launch. What kind of Quality control Asus having is a matter of questions!
Im still having problem with the black crush issue, despite I already update my phone sofware version to the latest(rog3)...Asus Dev please take an immediate action in solving this annoying problem.
Stop spreading nonsense. It's literally impossible for a high quality LED to win against a high quality OLED in terms of color coverage due to how brightness will wash out the colors on LED screens.
Also the Mi 10T has issues such as backlight bleed around the punchhole, draining battery due to huge IPS screen and compariable inferior colors and presentation vs other OLED competitors.
The only pathethic thing here is ur lack of understanding tech.
I think this issue is related to refresh rate. If I force 144Hz, it is worse, but as I reduce the refresh rate, this issue sort of goes away. If you put in adaptive screen refresh, I don't notice it anymore.
Its still bad, I don't expect so many issues with a premium flagship product. This is not acceptable, when is Asus fixing this?

That would be real face palm on ASUS if you do it properly before them. If you have a GitHub branch already in progress please share.

LCD displays don't suffer from black crush, it's LED. you can see newly released MI 10. It has 144hz LCD panel.

But still 90% people are complaining about the lack of an OLED panel on the mi10t
I even saw comments that people would take a 60hz OLED over 144hz ips smh
And as for the OLED issues I'm pretty sure you'd see similar questions/remarks on other OEM forums
